Shemekia Lacy Rankin (2014) a native of Woodville and a resident of Natchez was named in a unanimous vote by the Wilkinson County School Board as the Wilkinson County School Superintendent. A graduate of Wilkinson County High School, she received her bachelors degree from Louisiana State University, earned two master’s degrees from Alcorn State University, a certificate of completion from the Mississippi Alternate Path to Quality School Leadership Training Institute from Hinds Community College and a Specialist in Education degree from William Carey University.
