Hinds Community College

Foundation & Alumni Association

The Foundation seeks to enhance the educational mission of Hinds Community College by providing a means for private sector support and by increasing community awareness of the services the college offers. The Foundation provides scholarships for deserving students, offers programs to recognize the employees of the college, and administers funds for student organizations and other areas of the college.

The Foundation depends solely on the support of donors to achieve its goals. All gifts, regardless of size, are appreciated and needed and are tax-deductible according to IRS guidelines. Give the gift of education—an investment that continues paying dividends for generations.

The Alumni Association can be your connection to your college days at Hinds and a network for today and the future. It is the goal of the Alumni Association to strengthen the bond between Hinds Community College and our alumni and to provide opportunities for you to contribute your time, talent, and resources to the school that you love.

The Impact of Giving

“Our careers were spent helping people to improve their lives through education. It is a joy to be able to continue helping people by making that education accessible through scholarship.”

Continuing to honor Dr. Clyde Muse

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed to continue to honor Dr. Clyde Muse Dr. Clyde Muse officially retired as Hinds president on June 30, but his 68 years of service to Mississippi education – including 42 years as college president – have continued to be recognized throughout the state.

Legislative briefings outline priorities

As a nod to social distancing, Hinds separated the usual fall legislative luncheon into four smaller briefings at the Raymond, Rankin, Vicksburg-Warren Campuses and at the Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center.

Thankful, grateful, and blessed…

Those words have never meant more than they do today.
