“Hinds is a good partner and has been with us since day one. Our first maintenance techs came from Hinds through the industrial maintenance program,” said Continental Talent Acquisition Manager Darryl Jenkins, a Hinds alumnus and former employee. “They were the very first persons hired on for production.”

The college’s partnerships with these industry leaders grew out of a need the companies had for trained employees. Hinds worked with them to craft training structures and time schedules that fit their needs, not traditional academic schedules.
Complete with the “Eat Mor Chikin” mascot, the much-anticipated Chick-fil-A officially opened on Feb. 16 in the Student Union Building on the Raymond Campus.
