Tom Weathersby (1965) has retired from the state legislature and was recognized with the new Mississippi Forensic Laboratory being named in his honor. Weathersby was instrumental in getting the state-of-the-art facility located in Pearl.
Since coming to Hinds in 2017, he has been driven to positively impact citizens and industry partners in our communities. He particularly cherishes Hinds’ sponsored Registered Apprenticeship programs.
“Hinds Connection has opened more opportunities than I could have ever imagined,” said Ashley. “I really enjoy meeting alumni because they are so passionate about Hinds.
School was always a struggle for Mason Warren. Book learning just wasn’t his thing; he was a hands-on kind of guy. So, when it came time to choose a career path, he and his family knew a four-year university education and an office job wasn’t the right one.
