While the who’s who of Mississippi includes many leaders and influencers, there are few who compare to Dr. Clyde Muse. His legacy of service spans far beyond his contribution to education. Unique in many ways, his gentle, giving, and serving spirit truly set him apart. He does nothing for personal gain but always acts with the desire of improving the lives of others. It was this generous spirit that led to the establishment of the Hinds Community College Foundation with priorities centered around student scholarships and the development of faculty and staff. Dr. Muse also championed efforts to be involved in serving beyond the walls of the college. The Muse Legacy Endowment, established by friends and coworkers, is just one small way to preserve the legacy of service that is so entwined with his name and dear to his heart.
