Throughout the day, the Foundation will use social media to spotlight students and the kinds of programs that donors can support with their dollars. The goal is to get 50 to 100 new donors to give to the Hinds Foundation.
“You can give to any scholarship fund that’s already established. Or, if you would like to establish a scholarship fund, we are happy to help you do so,” said Executive Director Matt Jones. “A gift to the Hinds Community College Foundation furthers the opportunities for deserving students, whether they’re traditional or adult students, across our district.”
The Foundation also provides monetary support for faculty and staff projects and conferences.
“As a donor, you have the opportunity to donate to any project that you would like, or it can be an unrestricted gift that can be used toward any project that the college or the Foundation has going on right now. We can provide a list of current or available projects,” he said.
“There’s an opportunity for us to use these dollars to continue to enhance our programming, whether it’s through updating classrooms, updating buildings, building new buildings or building common spaces for students, faculty and staff,” Jones said.
